I know of a couple of truck stops, places I go regularly when im in the area, where the food is still homemade, the employees are still regular small town folks, coffee is free, showers are hot (and sometimes free), etc.
I know that as soon as I update a parking status on trucker path, or put a review online, every lazy sap for every mega is going to start beelining it for my spot, and they’ll make a mess, act an ass, and otherwise, fuck it up for the rest of us who know how to act like our parents loved us enough to teach us how to act like civilized human beings.
Right now, i just ate a cheeseburger made with real beef, cooked from scratch, and I’m in the diner, watching AFHV, taking my time to snack on the home fries. Im gonna get a free shower after this, and then relax for the rest of my reset, and there’s not a SWIFT or Werner, or JB Cunt truck in sight.
