So having just lost my current job I went to the employment office to review options.
They suggested a CDL program. I filled out all the paperwork and realized when I got to my dmv record that it isn’t looking good.
I have a ticket less than 2 years old for driving 96 in a 65 on a highway. No school or construction zone.
The company still recommends applying and I guess they’ll make a determination.
Even if they do accept me and the program funds it, would anybody hire me under that condition?
I should add, I have a 6 year old misdemeanor DUI that would prevent me from some companies until next year and other companies forever, regardless of the speeding ticket and I’m aware that is a challenge on its own.
