My 34 yo son [Oregon]has a CDL and is employed. He’s been an alcoholic for 15 years and finally decided to detox and enter recovery of some kind.
He hasn’t been completely transparent about the insurance approved program involving tapering. [?]
I’m not sold, neither is he, but he fears the fact of rehab alone will jeopardize his CDL liscence.
He’s also a teamster.
Its his choice how/if he gets clean, but I could help if I could assure him that voluntarily going to rehab alone won’t impair his liscence!
