I’ve been in trucking for 18 years and I used to have my physical done at my companies terminal. About six years ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and type two diabetes which I am managing but when it always comes to the eye exam, I always sort of had to cheat as I have, a lazy eye in my left eye which allows me to still see letters and stuff. Clearly they kind of jumble up and lead together and what I kind of like dyslexia but the letters almost start looking almost kind of Russian. Well, anyways, I had memorized the eye chart for many years to help me get through it, but today I learned that we no longer have a doctor come to the terminal to do physicals and I have to go to the clinic to have it done. With this, I am not worried that I won’t pass. I don’t know what I will do if I can’t drive. I’m curious to as what other drivers moved onto after they were told they could not drive anymore because of medical certification.
