So yesterday morning I was driving doubles back to my terminal and was almost to my exit I’ve taken a million and a half times. Monday morning commute traffic rush. 3 lanes, I get over from the #2 lane to the #3 lane and right as I finish one of those lowered Hondas that’s been purposefully modded to be super fucking loud rolls by on the shoulder going probably 70-80 in a 60. It was apparent to me at that moment that he was treating traffic like the racetrack and wanted to pass me so quickly that between the time my tractor got in the lane (because checking my mirrors it was clear) and the time my #2 trailer got in the lane he wanted to pass me on the right. He apparently had good enough reflexes to not get wacked by my trailer and drove past me on the shoulder. Couple drivers in other cars were staring at me as they passed me so clearly people realized what had just happened. It was a very close call but there’s nothing to do besides just keep driving.
Just wondering if I would be at fault in this scenario because I’m always in the mindset that everything is the trucker’s fault no matter what pretty much.
