Hi.
I’m not sure if this is the right sub, but I don’t know where else to get help. Long story short, we’re a military family who just moved overseas from VA. Western express is the moving company that was selected by transportation. On the date of the pack out the driver realized he didn’t bring enough crates so several boxes were taken to the warehouse to be put in a crate and added to our shipment. Transportation requested pictures proving items were added but western express ignored all requests. Fast forward 4 months and several boxes are missing after delivery and western express is denying responsibility.
My questions for ya’ll is how do drivers handle the inventory sheet and is it strange that not enough crates were brought to our home? We never rcvd the inventory until the end of the day and it was on a iPad that was in the truck. I’m curious about the process because our prior moves always had a paper inventory that the driver and my husband both worked on to add description and box numbers. We also haven’t ever had movers that didn’t bring all supplies that were needed.
The items missing are mostly sentimental so I’m hoping western express will look in the warehouse for them. So far, no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated.
