After three years of being on the road, I found a gig where I can do 7 on – 7 off. Home daily on the 7 I’m on and ten hour shifts at that… it’s a pay cut , but there is opportunity to pick up shifts when I need to do it should work out .
I’m conflicted though… Obviously, this is going to be a big adjustment . I have become ingrained in this current mindset of rambling all over the place with a destination in mind… how am I going to feel when I get home w all this spare time ?!
Drivers that have done this … how d it go for you?
I know I’ll love it .. I’m doing it to be a dad again.. and I have plenty of hobbies. But still , there will always be a part of me that will miss it .
My first priority is going to be to try and reverse the ageing that OTR has done to me lol. Time to work out , sleep well, eat better…. Begin to work on relationships w friends and family again. Date around and see who’s out there .
I dk why I’m posting this honestly… it just feels like I’m losing something , even though was hard and frustrating at times.
The road has a funny way about it …

This is my last week otr .. I’ll be cleaning ole Dallas Alice out Friday evening .. on to the next big thing I suppose !
