US 50 west of I70 through Utah and Nevada

Today I had a bid accepted for several loads going to fallon Nevada. I want to avoid the risk of high winds on i80 through wyoming so I’m seriously considering routing them all through Denver to Utah then jump on us50 and head through the desert. But in 28 years of trucking I’ve never been across that stretch of road and neither has any of my drivers so I thought I’d reach out here to get input from guys that have ran it. Any issues with the road? Is it decent running or is it going to be 600 miles of switch backs and end up taking 3 days? I’m not worried about mountain grades, my trucks can pull hills. But I don’t want to lose a shit load of time on a mountain cow path. If you’ve ran it please comment.
