Currently working for a mega. How to deal with the unrealistic delivery times and dispatch telling you that their “projection shows you to be at this time” but when I’m doing the math at 50mph it gives me a different delivery time. I run my butt off with maybe 1 bathroom break and no food all day. What should I do?
Update.
Got to store at 6:45. Had to do a double drop and the manager was calling my company to see where I was at. Drove exhausted because I wanted to make it on time. Honestly, I almost feel like quitting due to unrealistic times. I can’t drive like others and only can do the best I can do.
2nd update:
So after I finish there. They gave me another load to pick up 20 minutes from terminal and deliver 30 mins and be there at 0800. Let’s say I was also late to that appointment. Just feel like I’m being set up for failure.
