Checked into the truckstop shower in Battle Creek Michigan at the TA. Took 45 minutes to get a shower at 10 o’clock at night because half of them are out of service and the Porter was taking his time about doing everything. No big deal. Life happens.
Finally getting to my shower, clean up real quick, walk out to the store, buy a drink, and head back to my truck. An hour later, I realize that I left my $200 Vape mod sitting on the counter of the shower. I figure, no big deal, I left the guy a cash tip on the way out, so I’m sure he’ll do me a good turn and put it up so that I can retrieve it.
I walk a quarter-mile back to the truck stop just to find out that the porter has gone home for the night and nobody else in the store is aware of any kind of lost and found system except to turn the item into the front counter, and the front counter guy says nothing has been turned in.
I know for a fact that my Vape was left in the shower room. So either the Porter put it in his pocket, or the front counter guy had it and didn’t want me to have it.
i’ve already submitted three complaints to corporate. This is either going to be figured out or TA is losing thousands of dollars of business a month. I’m sure a multi million and maybe even multi billion dollar corporation doesn’t care about one customer, but I’m not throwing my fucking money away on a company that employees thieves and doesn’t even try to make things right.
If they do make it right, I’ll be sure to thank whoever does it, but I’m not stopping until this is resolved and I’m not buying a single gallon of fuel or as much as a fucking bag of potato chips from these folks until I get some results.
I work too damn hard for my money to have to deal with this.
