If you hate the job so much just quit already. If the worst insult you can think of is “steering wheel holder” take some time off work. Life is more than just a highway, and piss jugs.
I just had a road rage incident with a driver that could have cost him his life/freedom. Being out here for X years doesn’t make you special, it also doesn’t make you a good driver.
(Running i10 I pass a truck who’s going from 55-68mph, I get almost all the way around and he speeds back up. Whatever I’ll pass in just a few moments. We come around a curve and there’s a cop on the shoulder. Even tho he’s being a dick, I still love over to the yellow line to make room. I can’t slow down enough for him to move over when I’m almost all the way around.
He gives me the horn and finger and starts mouthing.
I told him very simply if he wouldn’t have been a dick and just let me around he could have moved left. Cue him following me, threatening me and acting a fool.)
I carry pepper spray and a 357 along with having two cameras in my truck. Don’t be the guy who ends up in the dirt over your ego.
