I drive for one of the major LTL carriers and am home nightly. Normally I run city p&d. Last week, I volunteered to help another terminal out that was falling behind 600 miles away. I would need a novel to explain all of the bullshit they put us through. Needless to say, I had to put down nearly 3,000 miles in a week and yeah, fuck that shit.

Yes, they pay us extremely well. Yes, we are still home nightly (hotel in that case). How you manage the absolute bordem putting down that many (and more) miles a week is beyond me. I’d go insane.
