Tips for someone who can’t get backing just yet?

I’ve gone thru my training, I’m a regional driver, and man I can’t back for the life of me without a guide and my training is coming to an end in about a week or so and I am fearful of going out on my own and one night there’s one spot at a truck stop and I can’t do a darn thing it’ll discourage me . I know I have to learn it and my trainers been short with teaching me if I mess up he just takes the wheel I had dog shit CDL school training but what are some tips for backing ? For my guys who went out there and sucked at backing how did you go about it.

Edit : I know about GOAL 😂 thought I’d mention that. My trainer refuses to let me leave the seat when backing
