Just got my CDL in august. I’m at my first company. 42 CPM, dedicated account going from Cali to Washington and back. I’m out for 2 fuckin weeks at a time and then home for 2-3 days. I just got my first full 2 week check and it’s fuckin 900. That’s $450 a week. What the fuck. That’s about 20k per year to put up with all the bullshit and have zero life, miss my kids growing up, I can’t even pay my rent with that let alone other bills. I litterally can’t afford to do this for the 6 months-1 year to get enough experience for a better paying gig. I was told by all you I could get hired doing food service or class b job and make 30 an hour right out of school. I’ve gotten turned down by Sysco for not having 1 year experience. I’ve also gotten turned down by central, garbage truck gig, and Pepsi. What the fuck am I supposed to do?
