I’ve been offered a job in aviation that pays 20 an hour. Def a pay cut, but it has potential in a year or so to pay as good as driving if not a bit better.. only 4 days a week for 10 hours too.
But as crazy as this sounds.. I think I’m gonna miss being in a truck. I’m gonna miss the sleeper, the bullshit and the road. I kinda like the isolation and just listening to music all day. But trucking sucks right now and I’m worried it’s only going to get worse if we’re “officially” going into a recession.
I’ve thought about a part time trucking gig but idk if I can find one 3 days a week. I’m worried about living on about 800 a week gross but lately my pay driving hasn’t even been that.. idk. What would y’all do?
