Thinking about switching trade.

Hi, for a couple years I was thinking about changing careers to do long haul trucking or car hauler. I grew up in a trucker family. But went into an other trade

I’ve been a journeyman high voltages lineman in Canada, I’m specialized in rope access and helicopter work and storm ( hurricane work). But I’m getting tired of it. The money is good but I’m missing being on the road and I always love the parts when I have to go on the road with my bucket truck and 40 foot trailer with poles and machinery. I’m used to drive it on logging trail and my urban bucket truck in heavy snowstorm shitty road and off-roading. Used to fix my truck in the Middle of nowhere because shit Gotta get done when we’re out in the Backcountry

A lots of people are telling me that’s the trucking industry have turned to shit. And it’s not worth it anymore.

What’s your opinion on this

Oh by the way I have my classe 1 f-m ( semi truck with air brake and manual transmission) right now my work truck 18 speed Versalift VST-7500 ( inter hx logging triple axel straight bod with a 90feet bucket arm, and a 45 foot hitch mounted modified wood pole Carrie
