I’m finally about to finish up a three week course for a mega carrier. They sent a bunch of us to a different state to train in a lot however only some of us signed a contract before we came here.
Today at the end of class they sat us down and told us that we must sign x paper for us to be able to go test next week. After some pushback from the class some saying that they signed back home, some didn’t, yadda yadda. One of the instructors comes back and says that only these certain people need to sign. He didn’t say that I had to, so I’m keeping my head low. My question is/ are
Is a 2500$ SoB worth signing a contract that makes me on the hook for all travel expenses and the class for two years?
How much does a course like that usually run if I were to be on the hook?
Would it be smarter to say fuck the bonus and just get my CDL without being on the hook?
Sorry if posts like this aren’t allowed I just don’t know who else to ask.
