Driver of 9 years here. Don’t really have friends in the industry to ask usually would ask my friends most drivers I know only worked at my previous job.
Most high paying local gigs are too far, either too far to justify myself or they reject me because I’m farther than 50 miles.
Using indeed,zip recruiter and Google is yielding a lot of sketchy 3rd party recruiters. Had one blatantly lie to me about a .75 cpm job supposedly drop and hook all distribution centers only for me to look it up and it was a forced dispatched with lot’s of NYC.
I’m not sure which reviews are just lazy people and which ads are full of shit. North Carolina foothills around I-77. But a hour from Charlotte and Greensboro so both those hubs usually reject me. Regional is okay too.
