I got my first ticket, in Texas. I have a NY drivers license. I’m trying to figure out my best options. It was 5-10 miles over the speed limit in a small town speed trap. (Highway then immediately a town from 70 to 55.) If you look at the reviews for the town they call it an ATM machine using speed traps ????. What should I do? i don’t want to lose my job and i don’t want this to be on my record? i’ve never even gotten a ticket before. do i hire a lawyer? show up to court?
