I always see truckers complaining about rates and getting middlemanned out of loads, my question is why don’t more truckers start their own authority and skip the middleman? I understand its a couple thousand in fees and you have to have your own truck, Is that really the only thing scaring people away from it? I’m genuinely curious and somewhat uneducated on this but it’s a question I keep asking myself as someone looking to get into the industry. I would think the profit on the first few loads would be substantial enough for most company drivers to want to take the risk, but I guess not? Maybe people are just okay, accepting $4000 1000 mile loads, for only $1800 by the time it trickles down to the driver? Dunno, no wrong answers just lend me some of your thoughts!
