Ok so here’s the deal. My mom is down to pay for my cdl but I kind of don’t want her to. I feel weird having someone fork over 6k for me but she definitely doesn’t mind doing it. So my other option was to go to paid cdl training at one of these companies out here. I got accepted to PAM and suppose to start in a couple weeks. But I think I will really be bothered being locked in for a year with less pay than I was making as a Lyft driver. I made 70k last year doing lyft and was in my bed every night and pretty much drove when I wanted to. To go on the road and not be home making less than half that I believe would stress me out and make me irritable to the point I end up losing it 2000 miles from home as I know trucking already comes with its stresses. So my question is am I better off taking the money and getting my cdl and find the right company or lock in for a year for Pennie’s just for experience?
