Went to grab a load and the trailer wouldn’t hook. Tried like 6-7 times. Had a guy from my company watch and try to help but, no go. We think it has a chipped pin. Hooked up to the trailer next to it just to see if it was my truck. Hooked first try. Went inside to tell them and, of course I had to show a safety vest guy and a yard dog 1000 times that it wouldn’t hook. Let them raise it, lower it, everything he wanted to try. Nope. Not hooking.
_Well, this trailers been wrote up 2-3 times for this but… nothing’s wrong with it. We were using it all last week. It’s just your truck… it’s this kind of truck._ ( 2022 Freightliner Cascadia) _Do you have another truck you can use?_
WTF?! No I’m not using another truck. Load a different trailer! I told them in more polite wording… Just to humor the guy I went around the corner and got another one of our trucks. Didn’t hook. Did it right in front of the guy, tried 2 or 3 times, got out and went up to him _Yeah, I don’t know what to tell you._ And he wouldn’t even verbally respond.
So now I’m sitting here, burning time and waiting for them to get another trailer… SMH…
