Got switched trucks for a few days for maintenance. My main truck is a 12 speed auto that you can manually select gears. That’s what I do. Always have. Shift at 14-15 on flat. And 1700 if I’m going uphill and skipping. These autos with no option to shift is so annoying. I’ll weight 70k going up and down 6% grades for 40 miles. It will downshift at 950 rpm. And upshift at 1300 rpm. It’s insanely annoying being that I have control of the gear in my truck. I get it’s a fuel mileage thing but is this normal for all these newer trucks
