Removing the auto restriction

Is there a way to remove automatic transmission only restriction? I went to school and took the manual courses but then I received another License in the mail many months later with the restriction. The school is very helpless with this situation and I tried calling the DMV in Tallahassee and their impossible to reach. Any ideas ? ( I took the driving test in a stick, but they made 1 paperwork mistake stating I did the parking [alley and backing] in an auto.) any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your time and help
