I recently got my Class A permit and in process of getting my License, so I apologize if this is a “dumb” question, or a practice that once was around and is now gone..
I am curious to know why I don’t see co.panies having to pay drivers for the whole day? Because outside of driving, we still have to watch the truck, protect it from being stolen, and make sure it is in good condition..
Are there companies that do or use to pay an hourly?? Am I missing something and not noticing that it is better or higher income to get paid per mile instead of a continuous clock??
Just a thought and a question for those with more knowledge & experience in the field
