Question on DOT card

Hey yall, got a quick question on the DOT medical certificate/card. Is a copy of my certificate, shrunk down to wallet size legal for carry, and would it be acceptable if/when I inevitably have to show it to an officer some day? BTW, not a “trucker” but will be driving a DOT regulated “truck”, but no long form (no more than an hour and a half from point A, B, C, D). I’m in CA, although I don’t know if that matters given it’s federal regulation. I just ask because my manager has offered many of us to get a shrunken copy, but other admins seem pretty keen on having the original at all times. Thanks!
