• Zero talking to dispatch or brokers.
• Companies/3PLs/Shipper/manufactures put all their inventory up for movements in a unified system. Driver logs into the unified system picks where they go next.
• Driver basically goes out there makes their rounds, gets their miles, makes deliveries and then home or starts a 34hrs reset.
• If driver wants to stay out they can or if they hit their numbers they go home do a 34hr reset. Head back out when ready.
• If driver wants to go to Texas, Maine, Florida, Cali, Seattle, Canada or Mexico they can or they can just run Regional or OTR.
• If the driver wants to go on a dedicated route for three months or six months, they’ll just post on their unified system profile that they’re interested in dedicated routes. Where then companies can select them for dedicated options.
• And there’s also no mega carriers and brand names in Corning nonsense. It’s just like truck on the door driver’s responsibility hit your number companies profit when you deliver.
I’m sure there’s other things we could add that would make the idea more easy for the driver to tolerate the industry.. but just an idea to start with or questions why doesn’t that exist? Especially if it’s already so heavily regulated and expensive for companies and drivers to begin with.
