Peterbilt 579–tips or features?

Just got a 22 Peterbilt 579 daycab as my daily truck (company driver)

I’ve been in an old Freightliner manual for most of my career.

I know this is an industry workhorse—curious if anyone’s got any tips, or tricks? Or things to watch out for?

I notice I can override the idle shutdown, but I’m not quite sure how I’m doing it, lol. Thought it was leaving it in D w the brake on…but that doesn’t seem to be it.

I got a manual for it, but haven’t had the chance to go through it.

One thing kinda different I noticed is it looks like you can lock in ea drive axle independently. Had to use that today to get out of parking lot (Montana)
