So this a bit of a rant. I’m a new truck driver and I wasn’t expecting to make a whole lot of money at first but the money I make now is ridiculous. I’ve made more money working security. The pay is 39 cents a mile. Which is low but I still could make decent money if I could get the miles and the reason why I can’t get the miles is because my company literally has me at 2 sometimes 3 different shippers and receivers in one day. On top of that fuel stops. How am I supposed to get the miles if I’m stuck at a shipper and receiver all the time. It’s mad disappointing. Here I am risking my life being away from my family for chump change.. but I’m trying to stay positive about the whole thing because I know once I get my experience I can go somewhere else.. it just really sucks for now.. Ig that’s the truckers life
