I apologize if I’m asking the same question as others, but I’m really eager to gather as much information as possible about the potential earnings for an Owner Operator. I’ve been contemplating the idea of becoming one myself.
I do plan on taking the leap soon, but before I do, I want to make sure I’m mentally prepared for the challenges that come with it. I’m just curious to know what I can expect in terms of income.
My goal is to work every day of the year, aiming for an average of 600 to 650 miles per day if I can manage it. Currently, I’m looking at a company that offers OTR Drop and Hook services, and if I do take the job, I’ll be leasing a truck through them. They offer Gross of $7,000 – $8,000+ and Net $2,500 – $4,000+ per week.
I understand that this isn’t a straightforward question and that various factors like the types of loads, repairs, and fuel expenses can lead to fluctuations. However, if any experienced Owner Operator could give me some insights into what they’ve learned to expect versus what they actually bring home as net income, I would greatly appreciate it.
