Out of work car accident (at fault) can I get fired?

So I was in an accident last week outside of work and was almost smashed by a tanker trailer. There was contact with all the damage done on my vehicle. I was not at fault, but the insurance company is claiming I am at fault. No tickets were issued on the scene, but insurance claims the police report says I made an unsafe pass next to the truck. I am currently a driver myself and am wondering if I get a ticket and lose against this somehow, could I get fired? I work for one of the big names in the industry as a local driver. I have not reported this to them since I was not actually at fault.
