Omnitracs vs Platform Science – need thoughts

Guys, I am asking on behalf of my friend / neighbor who runs a trucking business. This topic came up over drinks yesterday. Hope you guys are ok with my post.

His use case: Ex-trucker, now owner with a fleet of 10. He wants to grow to 100 over next 5 years (economy permitting). He is looking to go past basic ELD into professional fleet management.

How do you guys compare Omnitracs and Platform Science. What is cheaper? Better?

\- Is Omnitracs much more costly than Platform Science, Samsara and other alternatives?

\- Does it have better automation and features to support owner operators

\- For people who switched to Platform Science (or even Samsara) – why? and was it worth it?
