I work for a local company, Monday thru Friday schedule, delivering lumber on flatbeds/moffets. There’s 6 drivers including myself, and I can vouch for all of us that we do thorough pretrips.
Well, business has been slow the last few months, so they’re looking for any excuse to get rid of people until it picks up. Their historical go-to is safety. They’ll fire someone for not checking their oil, no warning.
Well they’ve started gearing up for the process. Here’s how I know: our supervisor took all the truck keys and hid them somewhere on our trucks to ensure we’re doing a proper pretrip. Mine were on my dipstick. Another guys were on the ground between his tires.
That’s it for now, just had to share with someone.
