Okay so my man has had his CDL for 25 years.
20 years ago in PA he caught a felony, long story short he was driving for his POS dad who hid stuff in his trailer without him knowing, and he went to prison for a few months for it.
After he got out they reinstated his CDL and he’s had it since. No violations, not even a speeding or traffic stop since then.
Recently the company he drives for required him to have a Texas CDL, so he got it switched over as well as his clearinghouse.
Today, he got his Texas CDL in the mail and a letter stating that his will be disqualified next month due to the stuff that happened 20 years ago in PA, in addition to automatic permanent disqualification if they find out he’s using his CDL to work in Texas
He got his license reinstated years ago after that happened, as well as renewed it without any problems.
Why is he having problems not and what can we do about it?? It says on the paper the hearing is basically to see if those charges were true or false and if they are true he’ll be disqualified permanently. Well they are true but that was 20 years ago and his license has been reinstated since then!
Kind of freaking out, please if anyone has had this happened can you share your stories of what happened or have any advice?
