Need advice. DOT physical

I’m going to try to make this short. I renew my dot card every two years as per Federal guidelines. I went to renew the other day and the didn’t renew so now I’m pending 45 days because I take clonidine for situational anxiety as needed. I don’t take this medicine while I drive. I maybe take it four times per month if that, and it’s non narcotic… Side effect sat: MAY cause drowsy/dizziness take care when operating machinery and vessels. Does not say DO. NOT OPERATE. anyway, my doctor who prescribed it for me needs to fill out the paperwork for the DOT physical to pass me. He said he can’t check the box that says he agrees that I would be able to operate a cmv without side effects from my medication.

So what the heck do I do? I really shot myself in the foot here and start a new job Monday…

Any advice would be appreciated
