My son wants to start trucking; how do you start?

I hope this post is allowed. My son, who is 19, wants to start trucking. He currently has a few months under his belt in Computer Networking and feels trucking is more up his alley.

If anyone has time, what are some good resources (or advice) to check out? (blogs, videos, etc.)

He wants to complete a community college CDL Class in a few months, but regarding jobs. What would be the best ave to start out? What is something to avoid?

I feel asking the pros here might help him, and I look into options, I appreciate your help.
