My son is about to become a third generation trucker…

Yep. He turns 21 in December and is going to go to the PAM school in Indianapolis. Local driving for him. His grandfather was straight OTR, I have always preferred local as I like being home every night. At 21 years old this kid is going to start out making $28 per hour. Amazing. I remember his grandfather saying he made .10 ¢ per mile and was happy with that… It’s a shame he will probably be the last generation of truck drivers before automation takes over.
