So I just renewed my license on 10/07/2022. The old license expired last month in November. I thought I did everything right. They told me I could use my twic card instead of getting a background check, and so I brought that with me and presented it when I went to renew. Then I went back to take the test and passed. After that I paid the fee for my new license and left. A couple weeks later I got my new license with my X endorsement on it and I thought everything was good until today. I just got a nasty letter stating that my hazmat has been removed and that I failed to update my background check or twic card even though I presented that to them. I even paid the 9 dollars to pull my driving record to see if maybe this was some kind of glitch in the system but it even says on my record that I now have an “N” endorsement instead of an “X” but it still says “X” on my physical license that they just sent me. My theory is that the young girl that I presented my twic card to probably messed something up and didn’t send the info to the TSA properly. Otherwise if I didn’t meet the criteria for a hazmat endorsement they wouldn’t even have let me take the test let alone print the X endorsement on both the temporary license they gave me at the mva and the one I got in the mail. I can’t call or do anything about this until Monday so does anyone have any advice? Anyone ever heard of this happening?
