I’m eyeing this CDL trainee posting in Colorado Springs, CO for a local McLane truck trainee. I’m guessing after the ~6 month training window I’d be contacted to work for them for a little to compensate training. I’ve seen all the nightmare stories about food delivery and it’s not too different from what I used to do as a helper for a drywall and steel delivery company. We’d use crane trucks and deliver to new construction which that shit was back breaking 14 hours a day. I got payed like shit though so I’m tempted to take this job.
Is this work about the same just with food? Is the training good or even worth it? Worth it to get my CDL and dip? Pay is 23 an hour in training and I’ll ask about the future pay.
