How can I get started? Been dealing with lots of personal and relationship issues that finally came to a close about a month ago.

Need a big change of pace and this is something I have looked at for a while. Figured this was best place to post. Would love to be able to get my CDL or at least start driving intrastate with small loads. Part of reason why I haven’t pursued it before was my ex, didn’t want me away for any amounts of time. Not even more than 6 hours or so.

How can I go about getting my CDL? Do I need it? Quit smoking weed a few weeks ago and also know I probably won’t pass a screening for another few weeks.

Would a company hire me to use their truck if I don’t have a CDL and their loads don’t require one? What else is needed besides a CDL?

I am in PA.
