Looking for Advice

Hey everyone new to the game here and looking for advice to make sure I’m doing this right. Quick details: I recently started a trucking LLC. It is just me in an 08 2500hd with a 24’ enclosed car hauler trailer. I run part time hauling higher end vehicles interstate within 500 miles. I might only do 1-2 trips a month. Started this as a side gig in addition to my main business (detailing high end vehicles)

My main question is, When I’m driving what things should I be keeping track of and what things do I NEED to keep track of? I’ve done 2 trips so far. And I kept record of expenses as well as miles of the trip. But is there anything else I should record from a DOT standpoint.
