EDIT: for the smart asses there is nothing more to the store. 1st position was for Ruan on the Walmart battery account all the nc drivers were removed from the account and given the options to go otr for 3 weeks or start commuting to the main terminal in South Carolina.
2nd was a line haul position for gxo pretty much same thing loads were cancelling and eventually they had meeting and told us it was our last week. Indy drivers and Murfreesboro took the account over
I have separation letters from both stating my position was terminated due to no fault of my one
Last year was laid off from two different gigs one regional one local. I’m currently working a temp job at a factory because last layoff happened right before Christmas and I didn’t want to jump into something out of desperation. And I’m making right around what most local jobs pay hourly, the only problem is I think I I’ve gotten spoiled the past 10 years and all this physical labor ain’t worth it in my opinion. And plus as a new hire I’m not allowed overtime for at least another couple weeks.
I’m honestly considering getting into another industry. With my experience I expect a certain pay and the current job market is abysmal in my area.
Don’t really know the point of this post just curious on any ideas or hearing how other drivers are doing right now especially experienced guys
