I read this posting and it seemed fair since it is weekends off and it have a dollar amount or 1250 a week. I called the recruiter and he told me 47cpm and I said “wait a minute, the posting says 1250 dollars weekly, not 1250 dollars average. Out of all job postings, this one doesn’t say ‘average’.” And he started to explain what we all know about traffic and this and that. And I said, “We’re talking LA traffic plus whatever wait time the port has, I have to think about it” So, I did. For 47 cpm, that’s around 531 miles per day for a 5 day period and 443 miles per day for a 6 day period for me to get the “average” 1250 dollars.
And then, it’s not like I can push the milage by driving at night time to get to LA with low traffic. He said Ieave on Sunday evening or Monday morning depending on the appointment I have. I thought, being such a big company, I could leave early and they would get me a container on my way there.
I’d be lucky if I get 1000 dollars a week before taxes.
Whats your opinion? Thanks
