Hi guys and ladies! This is a serious request for insight. I’m just a regular citizen, a 50 year old woman married with 2 little grandkids.
But for some unexplainable reason, it’s been on my bucket list for 40 years to try driving a rig. Even if it’s just around a parking lot. If that can’t happen, then a ride-along? Your trucks are fascinating! I need this to happen. It’s not a career desire, but more about solving the mystery of a powerful vehicle like that. Just even getting to sit behind the wheel, that hydraulic seat, all those gears. I wanna see what the dash looks like, flash the lights when vehicles let you merge… Have I romanticized big rigs since I was a 10y/o asking drivers to blow thier horns when my parents drove by? Maybe. I want to find out for myself.
But is it a dangerous idea? How would I safely arrange something like that? I’ve made it 50 years without getting hurt and I’m not risking that now. I love my grandbabies too much.
Should I just scratch this hope?
