Was heading down the interstate and the emergency air line from the lead trailer to the dolly cut loose and locked up the brakes on the dolly and rear trailer. Caught me by surprise and I tried to pull off onto the shoulder but the rear trailer has so much weight it pretty much came to a grinding halt half way in the interstate and my lead trailer was blocking an on-ramp almost entirely. I was flooring it trying to get off the road but it stopped so quick and wouldn’t budge.
Never had that happen before but the grommet had pretty much disintegrated and I must have hit a bump in the road just right and it came flying off. Luckily I had one last grommet in my back pack and was able to pop it in and out and get moving again. Must have item for drivers. No one was around me when it happened thankfully but I wasnt able to sleep at all thismorning lol
To the 4 wheeler who drove by me laying on the horn like I just picked a bad parking spot: thank you. Had no idea that wasn’t safe without you letting me know
