Is now a good time to start trucking again?

Hey guys,

I have a CDL, I haven’t used it in a year…I barely have any experience and probably will need to go with a mega and do a refresher, I’m cool with that. I want to get back into trucking but I’m not sure when I should make the leap. I know we are in a recession and I keep seeing a lot of people being laid off…I’ve even heard about truckers getting laid off too.

How is freight right now? Should I wait another few months to see how things play out or is the demand still there? I know the industry ALWAYS needs experienced drivers but what’s it like for newbs atm?
