I got my CDL December and literally got a job the next day working as a truck driver for a paving company. The day I got my job was my first day and it was great. Only worked 7 hours that day which was a good little intro to the job.
Turns out it was the only intro day I got given that I HAVENT WORKED SINCE. That same night a snow storm came in and a week later it snowed again. Basically, I haven’t worked in exactly two weeks today and it’s sort of driving me nuts because I hadn’t worked for two months prior to my first day since I was finishing the college semester and working towards my CDL right after (quit my last job due to bad management).
I was super excited to get started and I haven’t really been told anything in about a week. I’m not sure whether to start looking for another gig or trust this one since it looked like a very promising company with a nice owner. Is this normal?
