Hello,

I am DOT compliance manager for a private motor carrier. We have recently just opened an IRP account, but the state issued us 30 day plates. The renewal process time takes 30 days, effectively screwing my entire fleet. The main office email for the state is not valid, I have called every number possible, no answers. The renewal office doesn’t allow any walk-in’s either.

I am trying to see if the state will issue me an extension letter. Has anyone ever run into something like this? I don’t want my drivers or vehicles placed in OOS. Any advice would be appreciated! The state we opened the account in is Massachusetts.
