I obtained my CDL B not too long ago, but almost every job close to me requires a CDL Class A which I wasn’t eligible to apply for as I had just turned 21 this year, unlike all other states, New York is the only state that restricts Class A for ages 21 and older even for intrastate commerce. Have no idea why they only allow you to select between Class B and the garbage Class C license if you’re 18 to 20). I’m guessing the NY legislators have no idea how their own licensing system works.
