I just did my first two weeks OTR with Schneider. I plan to get a better paying job once I have some experience under my belt but this will have to do for the first 6-12 months.

My question is, when a company knows you are a new driver fresh out of CDL school do they try to ease you into it by giving you lots of downtime and short trips. Cause I’m broke as shit got a baby on the way I’m ready to drive to fucking Africa if I have to, but I only did 1300 miles this week never even left Texas. I’m being told the “market is soft on freight” but idk if that’s true.
